Cannons Get Past Kansas City for 7-6 Win
Both teams had their chances, but the Cincinnati Cannons eventually prevailed.

The inspired effort of Kansas City first baseman Hank Williams was not enough to prevent a loss, 7-6, to the Cincinnati Cannons. Williams went 3-5 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The 7th-place Cannons hiked their record to 52-54.

Bill Ballard drove in one run for Cincinnati. The 24-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the eighth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 6-6 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Del Lamb. It was his 9th RBI of the season.

"Nice to tuck this win away," said Ballard.
