Dale Raz, who is a four-time Diamond Defense Award winner, had a direct impact on the outcome. Raz contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth inning to put Boston up, 4-3.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Boston manager Dode Edwards. "It's usually not just one thing."
