Minneapolis second baseman Tony Nava was sensational. He was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 3 times. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Detroit beat the Millers, 6-5. Detroit pitcher Clarence Reimer got the win, upping his record to 3-7. Pete Jones got the loss. Eddie Watson closed the game out for Detroit, earning his 1st save.

The Dynamos got an important contribution from pitcher Clarence Reimer, who in the bottom of the second hit a 0-2 slider to right-center for a 2-run double. It was his 1st double of the season and put the Dynamos ahead, 3-0.

"We'll put this win in the can," said Reimer, "and go after the next one."

Detroit is now 37-69, Minneapolis 48-58.
