Jay Hunt pitched a gem to lead Houston to victory over the St. Louis Pioneers, 4-1. Bob Young collected save number 15. At 55-51, the Comets find themselves in second place in the Federal Association West.

The fans who came to support the Comets were pleased with the outcome. It was what they had hoped for when they passed through the turnstiles at Dalton Domed Stadium.

"It's nice to get the results when you're feeling good and throwing the ball well," said Hunt after the game.
