| Dynamos Hand Minneapolis 3-1 Loss | The Detroit Dynamos picked up a win at Thompson Field, knocking off the Minneapolis Millers, 3-1. Starting pitcher Jack Vander Kooi was a big reason why. The winning pitcher was Vander Kooi, now 5-9. He tossed 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 3. Detroit, at 36-69, holds down last place in the Federal Association West.
Detroit took the lead in the bottom of the fifth when Vander Kooi hit a solo home run. His 1st home run of the season made the score 2-1, Detroit.
