Extra-Inning Win by Cannons Over Imperials | The Cincinnati Cannons picked up a win at Dyckman Stadium, downing the New York Imperials, 6-4, in 12 innings. On the mound for Cincinnati was right-hander Charlie Warren, who played a pivotal role in the win. Cincinnati pitcher Hal Adams got the win. He's now 4-1. Bill Holm was tagged with the loss. The winning streak has now reached 7 games for Cincinnati.
It could have been a different outcome for Cincinnati, had it not been for Dallas Berry, the two-time Whitney Award winner . Berry contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fifth inning to put Cincinnati up, 4-3.
"Baseball is such a beautiful game," said Berry. "Anything can happen on any night, and that's why you don't dwell on what happened yesterday. Just look forward and trust you're going to have positive results." | |
