| Millers Reel Off Another Win, 6-2 | The Minneapolis Millers converted a terrific effort from starter Hank Wagner into a win over the St. Louis Pioneers at Hennepin County Stadium. The Millers won the game by a final score of 6-2. The Pioneers, at 48-61, have lost 6 in a row.
Had Bill Powell not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Powell hit a 2-run single. That made the score 4-2, in favor of the Millers.
Afterward, St. Louis manager Babe Johnson said: "Every team has a bad week."
