| Kings Slip Past Stars, 4-3 | Kansas City Kings starter Joe Potts pitched a strong game against the Los Angeles Stars at Prairie Park, leading the Kings to victory, 4-3. The setback makes Los Angeles 73-52.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Kansas City third baseman Ken Newman, facing Red Cooper, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Kings the 4-3 win.
"It was a real good effort by Joe," said Kansas City manager Glenn Carney. "I loved the way he bore down."
