Starr Swats 2 Homers, Chiefs Top Gothams, 9-5
Chicago center fielder Bob Starr played a vital role in his team's 9-5 conquest of New York. He went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3 for Chicago. Dode Hogan, who is tied for 3rd in the FA in complete games with 9, was the winning pitcher. Over 9 innings, he allowed 5 runs on 10 hits, with 7 walks and 5 strikeouts. The Chiefs bumped their record to 55-47 with this win.

Joe Siniscalchi had a big 2-run triple for the Chiefs in the bottom of the first inning. With Chicago leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a fastball from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Clarence Reimer and swatted a triple to left-center. It was his 3rd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Chiefs ahead, 3-0.

"Feels good to get the job done," Siniscalchi said after the game.
