Los Angeles turned a good performance from starting pitcher Bill Dunham into a 4-2 triumph over the Chicago Cougars at Cougars Park. Picking up the save was 31-year old left-handed pitcher Ed Jackson. The Los Angeles win streak is now 3 games.

The Stars benefited from a costly error in the top of the seventh. With Bob Branson at bat and Los Angeles leading 1-0, the Chicago miscue allowed Los Angeles to plate 1 and take the lead, 2-0.
