| Baltimore Beaten, 8-2, by Philadelphia | Philadelphia turned a good effort from starter Billy Hasson into a win over the Baltimore Clippers at Patapsco Field. The Keystones won the game, 8-2. After today's action, Philadelphia sits at 47-57; Baltimore slips to 48-56.
Philadelphia used a timely hit from Bill Viviano to get the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Keystones ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it made an impact.
