Blair Excels in 13-4 Atlanta Win
The Atlanta Copperheads defeated the Philadelphia Keystones, 13-4, at Peachtree Stadium. Atlanta was led by 1973 FA batting champion Jack Blair, who went 4-5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 3 times and drove in 4. Atlanta pitcher John McCormick earned the win, hiking his record to 3-1. Dick Duke suffered the loss. Buddy Thomas got the save, his 15th in 18 chances.

Blair was 4 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 3 times and drove in 4 against the Keystones. In the bottom of the first inning, he hit a run-scoring single that put Atlanta in front, 1-0.
