The Detroit Dynamos beat the Minneapolis Millers, 5-4. Detroit pitcher and Detroit, Michigan, native Clarence Reimer led the way. The winner was Reimer. He threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The loser was Pete Jones. Charlie Christianson earned the save for Detroit, his 5th.

With one out in the top of the seventh, Jack Lucas had a game-changing hit. The Dynamos third baseman slammed a run-scoring single off Del Robinson, making the score 5-3, Detroit.
