Mazur Powers Minutemen to 7-5 Win
The Boston Minutemen beat the New York Gothams, 7-5, at Gotham Stadium. The win was due in part to first baseman Hal Mazur, who was 3-3 with 2 doubles and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. The Minutemen win now puts them at 38-60.

Mazur had a game-changing double in the top of the eighth. On a 1-0 fastball from Joe Nelson, he banged a 2-run double to right-center, giving the Minutemen a 6-5 lead. It was the 10th double of the year for Mazur.

"I know we have our doubters," said New York manager Charlie Foley. "But I still have high hopes for this team."
