The New York Gothams topped the Boston Minutemen, 6-2, in Federal Association action at Minuteman Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of New York pitcher Harry Hayward. New York, at 53-48, holds down 4th place in the Federal Association East.

Hayward, the New York right-hander, went 7 innings, allowing no runs on 2 hits. He collected 5 strikeouts.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Hayward said after the game.
