| Wranglers Winners, 3-2, Over Sailors | The Dallas Wranglers rode a solid performance from 33-year-old starting pitcher Jim Schoolfield to a win, beating the San Francisco Sailors, 3-2, at Norris Stadium. The third-place Wranglers now have a win-loss record of 58-44.
John Vance drove in one run against the Sailors. In the bottom of the first inning, he reached on an error by the 2B, driving in 1 run, putting Dallas in front, 1-0.
"Whenever I help the team," said Schoolfield, "I feel like I earned my paycheck."
