Gothams Drop Minutemen, 3-2
In a tight tilt between the New York Gothams and the Boston Minutemen, Ray Hooley was the deciding factor. The New York right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. New York, now 47-54, holds down second place in the Federal Association East.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Gothams had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the second, when third baseman Rich Peterson hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Johnny Hall and made the score 3-1, Gothams. Peterson went 2 for 4 with 2 singles.

"I always intend to finish what I've started," said Hooley.
