| Stars Stun Wranglers, 6-3 | Dallas right fielder Steve Prather was sensational. He was 2 for 3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Los Angeles beat the Wranglers, 6-3. John Herzog, now 5-7, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. Los Angeles is now 51-50.
Los Angeles used the timely hitting of Tommy Agosta to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Stars on top, 6-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Agosta. | |
