| Suns Earn Late Win | Los Angeles turned a good performance from starting pitcher Jim Place into a 3-2 triumph over the Baltimore Clippers at Wilshire Park. Ron Clark, now 4-1, was credited with the win in 1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 0 and walking 1. Los Angeles is now 61-39, 7½ games up in the Federal Association West.
Bill Perry was the walk-off hero for Los Angeles. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Suns second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
