Everything clicked on the hill for Howie Burt, as he hurled the Atlanta Copperheads to a shutout win, 7-0, over the Boston Minutemen, limiting them to 7 hits while recording 4 strikeouts and yielding 1 walk. He overpowered some batters with fastballs and buckled knees with sharp breaking pitches.

"We had our shot at him a couple of different times," Minutemen manager Dode Edwards said. "We just weren't able to get to him."
