Los Angeles Suns starter Heinie Schmidt pitched well against the Baltimore Clippers at Wilshire Park, leading his team to a win, 4-3. The loss makes Baltimore 46-51.

Jim Thurman was the walk-off hero for Los Angeles. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Suns left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"The ending was a real humdinger," Thurman told reporters after the game.
