Chicago turned a good effort from starter Manny Espinosa into a win over the New York Imperials at Cougars Park. The final score was 2-1. Jim Norris earned the save for Chicago, his 16th.
Sam Morrison broke a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the third with a run-scoring ground out. It put the Cougars in front, 2-1. For the game, Morrison was 1-3 with a walk.
"If you chase it, you need to get it," said Chicago skipper Pug Bryan.
