Imperials Take Down Sailors, 9-5
Jack Peeples made an impact in the 9-5 New York win over San Francisco. Peeples went 3 for 6 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The win went to Bud Pace in relief, making him now 6-2. Bert Alexander took the loss for San Francisco. With the win, the Imperials sit at 51-47.

New York used a timely hit from Al Reece to get the win. The right fielder stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the 15th inning to put the Imperials ahead, 8-5. It was his only hit in 8 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Peeples.
