| Minneapolis Dealt 7-3 Defeat | The Atlanta Copperheads picked up a win at Peachtree Stadium, topping the Minneapolis Millers, 7-3. On the mound for Atlanta was left-hander Howie Burt. He played a principal role in the triumph. The winner was Burt. He threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The loser was Hank Wagner. Atlanta, at 68-27, is 22½ games up in the Federal Association East.
Atlanta second baseman Al Hubbard contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 93rd hit of the season and put the Copperheads ahead, 1-0.
