| Los Angeles Slaps 5-3 Loss on Washington | The Los Angeles Suns knocked off the Washington Eagles, 5-3, in Federal Association action at Wilshire Park. Los Angeles pitcher and Lexington, Kentucky, native Jim Place had an outstanding performance. Ron Clark collected his 23rd save. The Federal Association West-leading Suns are 57-38.
Los Angeles left fielder Jim Thurman helped the Suns go up, 4-2, in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the game tied, Thurman hit a 2-run single off Washington pitcher Earl Frazier.
