The Los Angeles Stars beat the Cleveland Foresters, 4-3, in 10 innings. Los Angeles pitcher and St. Louis, Missouri, native Floyd Warner led the way. The win elevated the Stars to 54-38.

The decisive blow was delivered by Frank Taylor in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a run-scoring double off fan favorite Bob V James to win the game for Los Angeles. The home crowd went nuts.

"I thought he pitched his game," said Los Angeles manager Charley McCullough. "Just a nice, Floyd-like performance."
