| Keystones Lose as Suns Stage Late Rally | The Los Angeles Suns turned back the Philadelphia Keystones, 4-3, at Wilshire Park. Tom Lally, in particular, had a fine performance. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The win was credited to Alex Briggs in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Jim Steuber took the loss. The Suns saw their win-loss record go to 52-42. At the same time, the Keystones fell to 46-48.
In the bottom of the ninth, with one out and the game tied, 3-3, seven-time All-Star Sam Forrester won it for Los Angeles. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Forrester hit a 2-2 changeup from Jim Steuber for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 4-3 win.
