| Gothams Top Dynamos, 3-1 | A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the New York Gothams and Detroit Dynamos.
New York registered a win at Thompson Field by beating the Detroit Dynamos, 3-1. Pitcher Jake Watkins was one reason why the Gothams triumphed. Watkins, now 5-5, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 3, walking 2, and allowing 1 run.
New York second baseman Joe Jones helped the Gothams go up, 2-1, in the top of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Jones hit a run-scoring single off Detroit pitcher Jack Williams.
