| Kings Win at Home, 6-2 | Seattle Kings right-hander Swede Hawkins pitched a good game against the Toronto Wolves at Seattle Municipal Stadium, leading his team to victory, 6-2. The winner was Seattle reliever John Bennet, now 2-3. The loser was Ray Smith. The first-place Kings, at 61-31, now lead their division by 10 games.
Fred Tollefson hit a run-scoring triple off Ray Smith in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Kings in front, 3-2. Tollefson had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 4.
