At Dalton Domed Stadium, the Houston Comets and New York Gothams were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

In a tight contest between the New York Gothams and the Houston Comets, Bunny Mullins was the determining factor. The New York right-hander sparkled in his team's 3-0 win. Jeff Pettigrew got credit for the save for New York. It was his 15th of the year.

Jon Horton contributed to the New York win with a 2-run home run in the top of the second. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.

"Banging out wins is what it's all about," said Mullins.

The third-place Gothams go to 47-43.
