Chicago pitcher Troy Myers did his part in helping his team beat the Boston Minutemen, 4-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. The win was credited to 33-year old right-handed pitcher Norm Sutherland in relief. His record improves to 4-3. Bud Shireman took the loss. Chicago has won 5 consecutive games.

Chris Wells was the walk-off hero for Chicago. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Chiefs catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"No one can call baseball boring," said Chiefs manager Ollie Howard. "Not after a game like that."
