| Montreal Beaten, 4-3, by Seattle in 11 | The Seattle Kings found a way to sneak past the Montreal Saints, 4-3, in 11 innings. Seattle pitcher Charlie Rushing, for one, had a standout performance. Seattle pitcher Cy Strom got the win, upping his record to 1-0. Bob Nelson got the loss. The third-place Kings go to 51-39.
In the bottom of the 11th, Jesse Walker knew he could end it with one good swing of the bat. And he did, hitting a run-scoring single off Montreal pitcher Bob Nelson.
"I like winning," Rushing told the Seattle News. "I may joke around, but when it comes down to it, winning is the most important thing."
