| Minutemen Suffer One-Run Loss at Chicago | The Chicago Chiefs picked up a win at Whitney Park, taking down the Boston Minutemen, 4-3. Starting pitcher Otis Hawkins was a big reason why. Hawkins picked up the win for Chicago, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 8-7. Hal Alsip, who is tied for 8th in the FA in saves with 12, earned the save for Chicago.
Chicago third baseman Ricardo Castillo contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, he hit a fastball to left field for a 2-run single. It was his 108th hit of the season and put the Chiefs ahead, 4-1.
"My job is to go out and execute," said Hawkins.
Boston has now lost 4 consecutive games. | |
