| Pioneers Take Down Clippers, 3-2 | St. Louis Pioneers starter Lloyd Henson pitched a strong game against the Baltimore Clippers at Patapsco Field, leading the Pioneers to victory, 3-2. The Pioneers, at 45-48, have now won 5 straight.
Quinton Vincent, who finished 4th in the FA in extra base hits with 54 in 1972, had a direct impact on the outcome. Vincent contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put St. Louis up, 3-2.
