| Kansas City Downed, 4-3, by Wolves | The Toronto Wolves locked up a win at Prairie Park, knocking off the Kansas City Mavericks, 4-3. On the mound for Toronto was right-hander Red Bullock. He played a major role in the triumph. Andy Masson got the save, his 3rd in 4 chances. The Wolves win now puts them at 40-47.
Toronto needed the clutch hitting of Jesse Taylor to seal the deal. The third baseman swatted a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Wolves on top, 4-3. For the game, Taylor had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Taylor told the Toronto Daily.
