| Cougars Win Thriller, 2-1 | Cougars fans were sent into a frenzy with a walk-off win.
The Chicago Cougars, despite a fine performance by Milwaukee pitcher Johnny Hoskinson, grabbed a 2-1 win in 12 innings at Cougars Park. Hoskinson allowed 1 run over 7 innings. The win belonged to Tom McDaniel in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Bud Andrews took the loss for Milwaukee.
The decisive blow was delivered by Tom Halliday in the bottom of the 12th when he hit a solo home run off former first round draft pick Bud Andrews to win the game for Chicago. The home crowd went nuts.
"This kind of game is tough on the heart," said winning manager Pug Bryan.
Chicago has run its win streak to 5 in a row. | |
