Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Dallas Wranglers and Montreal Saints.

The Dallas Wranglers defeated the Montreal Saints, 6-4, in Continental Association action at Norris Stadium. Dallas pitcher Ed Smith had a standout performance. Smith yielded 3 runs over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 6. His record improves to 5-7.

Smith had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth to put Dallas in front, 4-2. With the bases loaded, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run off Montreal pitcher Dave Taylor.

"Ed was throwing free and easy," said Dallas manager Vic Kramer.
