| Imperials Lose Versus Kansas City, 4-2 | The 4-2 Kansas City win over New York was due largely to Mel Wingerter. The Mavericks center fielder was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Charlie Wolf finished to wrap up his 4th save. The Mavericks are now 39-47.
