| Chiefs Win, 3-1, Versus St. Louis | Fans brought energy and enthusiasm to the St. Louis Pioneers home opener. Tom Spongberg started for the home team against Kid Burkholder for the Chicago Chiefs. The Pioneers were unable to reward the home crowd with a win. The final score was 3-1, Chicago. Kid Burkholder, though, was impressive. In 8 innings, Burkholder surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 0 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Mike Pratt earned the save, his 1st.
Mike O'Shaughnessy, who finished 5th in the FL in home runs with 5 in 1910, helped out the Chicago cause in the top of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the center fielder went 2 for 4 with a triple.
