Mavericks Rally Late to Nip Cougars
The Kansas City Mavericks started the 1975 season win an impressive 3-2 win against the Chicago Cougars at Mavericks Stadium. Dave Dalton led the way for Kansas City.

Kansas City took a 3-2 lead on Bob Howard's 1st double of the season. The 2-run double, which Howard hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Chicago pitcher Tom Andress visibly frustrated.

Kansas City manager Bob Bendick commended his team for delivering "maximum effort."
