| Maddox, on Top of His Game, Beats New York, 5-0 | It was a quiet day for the New York Imperials at Dyckman Stadium -- a little too quiet. Milwaukee Arrows starter Mel Maddox silenced the Imperials, holding them to 3 hits and keeping them scoreless in a complete-game 5-0 win.
"It was frustrating against Maddox today," New York manager Jim Abernathy said.
The Milwaukee starting pitcher walked 1 and allowed 3 hits while fanning 4.
