Big Day for Thacker in 7-1 Keystones Win
Philadelphia first baseman Loyd Thacker had a 3-RBI game, which helped his team beat the St. Louis Pioneers, 7-1. Bob Kohler earned his 5th save in 5 chances. With the victory, the Keystones upped their record to 79-69.

Thacker had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 2-2 splitter from Jeff Kelley, he banged a 2-run home run to right-center, giving the Keystones a 3-1 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Thacker.

"This kind of win will certainly make our fans happy," Thacker told the Philadelphia Times.
