| Blues Grind Out 2-1 Win | In a low-scoring contest between the Chicago Blues and the Boston Beacons, Larry Bohnsack, who is tied for 8th in the UL in saves with 11, proved to be the difference. The Chicago right-hander earned props for his performance in the 2-1 Blues win. Chicago has 3 straight wins, Boston 3 straight losses.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the eighth, with the game tied, Jack Holmes was at the plate when Chicago scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Blues to go in front, 2-1.
"We did a lot of really good things and it was a good win," said Blues manager Mike Dermer.
