| Pittsburgh Shuts Out Cannons, Mitchell Winner | A favor to his bullpen. That's what Robert Mitchell was doing at Cocker Park, as he blanked the Baltimore Cannons, 3-0.
"I went out there to try to eat up innings and help out our bullpen," the Pittsburgh Mechanics left-hander said later. "I felt I had my good stuff, and it turned out my command was solid."
Mitchell notched 7 strikeouts, surrendered 3 walks, allowed 4 hits, and kept the bullpen phone quiet all day long.
This season, Mitchell has 16 wins and 16 losses and a 2.50 ERA. | |
