The Cleveland Grays picked up a win at Euclid Avenue Park, topping the Boston Beacons, 4-3. On the mound for Cleveland was right-hander John Grunder. He played a principal role in the triumph. Grunder went the distance for Cleveland. He gave up 3 runs on 5 hits. By defeating Boston, the 6th-place Grays improved to 69-77.

The Grays got a big at-bat from right fielder Bill Robinson. For the game, Robinson was 2 for 3 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 24th double of the season gave Cleveland a 4-3 lead.
