Clark at His Best, Blanks Toronto
Everything clicked on the hill for Al Clark, as he hurled the Boston Beacons to a shutout win, 3-0, over the Toronto Beavers, limiting them to 6 hits while recording 7 strikeouts and yielding 1 walk. He overpowered some batters with fastballs and buckled knees with sharp breaking pitches.

"We had our shot at him a couple of different times," Beavers manager Máximo Rios said. "We just weren't able to get to him."

This season, Clark has gone 14-19 with an ERA of 2.91, posting 156 strikeouts in 336.2 innings.
