| Philadelphia Beats New York, 4-1 | The New York Gothams went down to defeat to Ellis Conlin and his Philadelphia teammates. The final score was 4-1, in favor of the Keystones. Leo Jackson earned the save, his 3rd, for the Keystones. Philadelphia is now 25-19, New York 27-17.
The Keystones got a big at-bat from right fielder Ken Kern. For the game, Kern went 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Philadelphia a 4-1 lead.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Kern.
