| Pioneers Eke Out 6-5 Win Versus Minneapolis | The St. Louis Pioneers and Minneapolis Millers obliged fans looking for a good time.
Jim Robinson helped his team muscle past the Minneapolis Millers, 6-5. In the game, the St. Louis catcher went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. St. Louis reliever Charlie Christianson got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Bob Ciaramella was tagged with the loss. Roy McDonald was credited with the save for St. Louis, his 1st of the season.
Robinson had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a full count forkball from Bob Ciaramella, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Pioneers a 4-3 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Robinson.
"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Robinson.
