Beavers Lose to Grays, 4-2
Cleveland Grays starter Lou Triantos was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Toronto Beavers, 4-2. The Grays improved their record to 20-24 with the win over Toronto.

Cleveland first baseman Sherry Maxwell contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, he hit a curveball to left-center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 19th hit of the season and put the Grays ahead, 4-2.

"Lou gave us everything he had," said Cleveland manager Will Jackson.
