Eagles Lose at Home, 7-4
Despite a great performance by Washington shortstop Al Marino, the Boston Minutemen defeated the Eagles by the score of 7-4 at Columbia Stadium. Marino was 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs. The loss drops Washington to 1-2.

Boston used a timely hit from Charlie Hartsell to get the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Minutemen ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"It was a solid, all-around game for us," said Boston manager Dode Edwards.
