New York Draws Blanks Against Carey
Fans at Wilshire Park witnessed the Los Angeles Suns blank the New York Gothams, 2-0, on the strength of a superb effort from starter Frank Carey. The Los Angeles right-hander allowed 4 hits in recording the shutout.

"Frank was good today, but I don't want to focus too much on a single game," Los Angeles manager Bill Morrill said. "If you're capable of playing at this level, you're capable of having a good game. The real question is if you can learn from that game and repeat it."

To date this season, Carey sports a 2-2 mark with a 3.29 ERA in 6 starting assignments. He has held the opposition to a .222 batting average and has 33 strikeouts in 41 innings.
