The final score was 7-6, Montreal, in 10 innings. Guthrie was 3 for 3 with 3 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times. Reliever Hank Myer picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Elmer Sullivan took the loss. With the loss, Kansas City drops to 19-13.
The Saints got a clutch hit from catcher Garland Phelps. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Saints.
